About the Farm
Background
Located about 45 minutes west of St. Louis near Augusta, MO, the farm has become known for its delicious vegetables and happy, healthy animals. They offer CSA shares with a 22-week season from May to October, allowing members to visit the farm and pick up their share in a market-style format. The farm also participates in the Midtown Farmers' Market every Saturday, providing a variety of produce, flowers, pastured eggs, and breads.
Practices
The farm takes a holistic approach to land stewardship, recognizing their production operations as part of a larger landscape that they aim to support and enrich. They focus on providing safe, wholesome, and delicious food to their community, with practices that include free-ranging animals and pastured eggs.
The Rest
CSA members have the option to visit the farm any Sunday of the season to see baby goats, calves, and vegetable fields. The farm's market-style share pick-up allows members to choose from a seasonal variety of 8-10 items each week, including golden pastured eggs and greenhouse-grown pea or sunflower shoots. The farm will sit fallow for 2024 to allow the soil to rest.
