Windy Ridge Farm

Founded in 2009 by Julia Lemieux, the farm has been certified organic with Baystate Organic Certifiers since 2013. Julia also managed a community garden program for the City of Pittsfield from 2014 to 2023, operating at seven garden and school sites in low-income neighborhoods.

The farm grows all plants using only organic practices and is certified by Baystate Organic Certifiers. They offer wholesale rates and custom varieties for other small farms and businesses. The farm emphasizes heirloom varieties suited to the New England climate and saves much of their own seed to ensure local food security.

The farm donates to the South Community Food Pantry in Pittsfield and accepts SNAP/HIP, WIC, and Senior coupons at the Downtown Pittsfield Farmer’s Market. They also offer free delivery in Western MA for SNAP customers. The farm's mission includes empowering others to reclaim their food sovereignty and grow their own food.
