About the Farm

Background

Founded in 2017 by Lexi Berko and Justin Seelaus, the farm began with a handful of lambs and goats on rented land and a single farmers market in NYC. Over the years, it expanded to a sustainable agricultural operation, purchasing 17 acres in Hyde Park, NY, and leasing 60 acres in Staatsburg, NY. The farm now offers lamb, mutton, rabbits, quail, and geese to markets, home chefs, restaurants, and small grocers in the Hudson Valley.

Practices

The farm emphasizes the utilization of the entire animal to provide a wide selection of products, ensuring high standards of animal welfare and ecological consciousness. Their farming philosophy revolves around land regeneration, aiming to create a harmonious balance between livestock and the environment.

The Rest

Lexi Berko, with a background in Conservation and Wildlife Management, and Justin Seelaus, with a degree in Agronomy and Environmental Sciences, bring a combined 20 years of farming experience. Lexi is also trained as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Clinical Herbalist, integrating holistic nutrition and herbal knowledge into their lifestyle. The farm currently focuses on offering rabbit products and encourages online shopping through their website.
