In the fall of 2006, a family purchased land and established Whitefeather Organics, LLC. Starting from scratch, they built the barn, greenhouses, and soil, laying the foundation for a farm that aims to be a permanent fixture in the community. The farm is known for its diverse produce and commitment to organic practices.

Certified organic, the farm employs crop rotation, garden separation, and a deep understanding of nature to control disease and pests. Soil nutrition is maintained through intense cover cropping, grazing, and a large farm-based compost system. Animals are raised on pasture to help manage the land, add diversity, and cycle farm extras. Every aspect of the farm, from energy sources to building construction, is considered with the community's long-term health in mind.

Education is a key focus, with workshops, internships, and opportunities for shareholders to work for their food. The farm offers CSA shares, providing fresh, certified organic produce to the local community, and welcomes wholesale accounts.
