About the Farm
Background
Weaver's Orchard is a fourth-generation family orchard located in the scenic hills of Berks County, Pennsylvania. Just a short drive from Reading, Philadelphia, and Chester County, this orchard has become a local staple, known for its pick-your-own fruit offerings and year-round farm market. The market features a wide array of quality fruit, produce, custom fruit baskets, baked goods, meat and dairy, jarred goods, deli items, and party trays. Over the years, the orchard has expanded its offerings to include a variety of family-friendly events, from tasting events to school tours, educational events, and fall festivals.
Practices
Weaver's Orchard employs an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach in its farming practices. This method combines preventative and organic techniques to maintain the health of both crops and land. By using IPM, the orchard ensures that their farming practices are both effective and environmentally responsible, promoting the long-term sustainability of their agricultural ecosystem.
The Rest
Visitors to Weaver's Orchard can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year, including pick-your-own fruit from June to October, and numerous family-friendly events centered around their crops. The farm market is open year-round, offering homegrown fruit, fresh produce, award-winning apple cider, and a selection of locally sourced dairy items and free-range meats. Kim’s Café serves delicious espresso beverages, and the bakery offers fresh baked goods. The deli provides sandwiches and cold cuts, and customers can shop in-store or online, with curbside pick-up and local delivery available within 10 miles.
