About the Farm
Background
The founders were inspired to start the business after experiencing the superior taste and quality of locally raised, pasture-fed meats and vegetables. They partnered with small, principled farmers in New England and New York to provide a direct link between local farms and consumers, emphasizing ethical animal treatment and sustainable farming practices.
Practices
Partner farmers raise animals on pastures free of herbicides and pesticides, without administering antibiotics or hormones. Beef cattle are 100% grass-fed and finished, chickens are rotated daily to fresh grass, heritage pigs live outdoors without farrowing crates, and lambs are pasture-raised without corn. Fish is caught locally by small day-boat fishermen. All suppliers adhere to strict affidavits ensuring humane and sustainable practices.
The Rest
The business supports over 70 small-scale farms and labels each cut of meat with the farmer's name. They offer customizable shares of various proteins and deliver directly to customers' doors. Their regenerative farming practices aim to create healthy, flavorful cuts while preserving the land for future generations.
