Urth Farms Organic

Founded in 1999 with funding from a state grant, Urth Farms revitalized the North Oak neighborhood of New Britain. As one of the oldest urban farms in the U.S., it has a rich history and a compelling story rooted in community development and agricultural innovation.

The farm adheres to certified-organic farming methods, ensuring that all produce is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The focus is on maintaining soil health and biodiversity through crop rotation, composting, and natural pest management techniques.
