About the Farm

Background

Sprouted in 1995, this homegrown business has organically evolved with the changing times. For 14 years, it supplied local restaurants and caterers with seasonal produce, herbs, and edible flowers. In 2009, the farm opened a farmstand on their front porch, featuring foods from their small city farm in addition to local organic farms and food artisans. The farm has been featured on Oprah, CNN, Sundance Channel, People Magazine, ABC Nightline, and National Geographic Channel.

Practices

The farm applies regenerative and holistic growing practices, embracing biodiversity and promoting the cultivation of healthy soil. It is dedicated to growing a local food economy and a sustainable community by offering tours, hands-on learning workshops, and more. The farmstand provides freshly picked greens, local raw honey, seasonal preserves, and heirloom seeds.

The Rest

The farmstand is open by appointment, and customers can sign up for a FARM BOX PROGRAM. The farm also offers educational programs for schools and individuals to engage in hands-on learning. The CSA program provides a subscription-based way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from local farmers and food artisans. The farm follows strict Covid guidelines to ensure the health and safety of staff and visitors.
