About the Farm

Background

After many years on rental land, the farm purchased acreage in 2019 and officially founded Two Birds Farm. With 17 years of farming experience in Kansas City, the farm has become known for its diverse vegetable offerings and community-supported agriculture (CSA) program.

Practices

The farm employs sustainable practices, focusing on organic feed for their free-range chickens and utilizing goats for natural brush and weed control. Heirloom vegetable varieties are grown, and a greenhouse is used to supply garden plants.

The Rest

The farm offers a 'You Pick' strawberry event in June, sells vegetables and eggs at the Brookside Farmers' Market in Kansas City, MO, and has an online plant store open in March. They are also an affiliate of Goats on the Go, providing goat meat and brush control services.
