About the Farm
Background
Located in a unique part of eastern Collin County, about an hour north of Dallas, this farm is known for its picturesque rolling hills and spectacular sunsets. The family-owned farm has become a local staple, offering high-quality meats and other products directly from their farm to customers' tables. They have established a reputation for transparency and quality, inviting visitors to see firsthand how their animals are raised.
Practices
The farm raises cows and sheep on natural pastures, allowing them to graze on grasses and dry forages throughout their life cycle. They strictly avoid grain feeding, antibiotics, hormones, and chemical wormers. The land is treated with care, using no herbicides, pesticides, or commercial fertilizers. Although not government-certified organic, the farm adheres to all organic methods and considers itself 'beyond organics.'
The Rest
Visitors are encouraged to call or text to set up a day and time before coming to the farm. The farm offers a variety of products, including grass-fed and finished beef and lamb, pastured pork, chicken, cheese, eggs, and local raw honey. They also make regular deliveries to Rockwall, Allen, and Plano, and participate in the Rockwall Farmer's Market from May through September. For more information on pasture and grass-finished meats, they recommend visiting www.westonaprice.org and www.eatwild.com.
