About the Farm
Background
Trinity Farms began in 1989 as a 4-H project raising hogs and stocker calves in Madison County, Alabama. Over the years, it has grown into a full cattle operation with 400 mama cows and 400 to 600 stocker calves. In 2008, the farm expanded to Letohatchee, Alabama, allowing for longer grazing periods and more central delivery within the state. The farm is known for its Angus-based cattle, which are mixed with breeds like Simmental or Chianina to enhance growth and leanness. The Lee family, including David Lee, who graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Animal & Dairy Science, has been integral to the farm's development.
Practices
Trinity Farms raises beef on cool season grasses and finishes them naturally on non-GMO grain products. They also offer 100% grass-fed beef. The farm adheres to a philosophy of raising animals naturally and healthily, without added hormones or antibiotics. This approach ensures the meat is lean, tender, and nutritious. The farm's expansion to central Alabama has enabled longer grazing periods, contributing to the overall health and quality of the cattle.
The Rest
Trinity Farms offers custom meat processing and packaging to customer specifications. They provide home delivery across the southern United States, including Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and north Florida. The farm was recently featured on an Alabama television show, Simply Southern. Brochures are available upon request, and orders can be placed online for convenience.
