About the Farm
Background
Triangle K Ranch began in 1904 and has been operated by the Krock family ever since. Over the past century, the farm has evolved from using mules to tractors and has become known for raising quality farm products. The current owners, Handsome Husband and FarmGirl, have been married since 2006 and continue the family tradition of farming.
Practices
The farm is part of the localvore movement, encouraging consumers to buy from local farms and markets. Animals are raised humanely and sustainably, with free-range chickens producing a variety of colored eggs and heritage breed Large Black hogs roaming freely in the pasture. The farm also features a small orchard with several varieties of apples, plums, nectarines, cherries, peaches, and almond trees.
The Rest
The farm offers registered and non-registered Large Black hogs, with some ready for butchering. Reservations are available for pasture-raised hogs or beef. The farm also shares its bounty of honey and handmade items with the community. The family includes Zack, an aspiring filmmaker, and LJ, a young farmer with a keen interest in science and military history.
