About the Farm

Background

Jeff and Chad, affectionately known as the 'Gay Goat Guys,' have been a couple for 30 years and have been raising dairy goats for 13 years. In 2011, they moved from the city to a historic farm in rural Ohio. They are known for their compassionate approach to farming, where animals are treated as part of the family and not culled based on productivity. Their farm is a sanctuary where retired goats live out their lives peacefully.

Practices

The farm operates on a 'Goats First' philosophy, ensuring that baby goats stay with their mothers and only surplus milk is used for soap production. They emphasize the intelligence and emotional depth of their animals, fostering strong bonds among the livestock and with the farmers. Their farming methods prioritize animal welfare and compassionate treatment, rejecting conventional practices that view animals merely as production units.

The Rest

The farm offers goat sponsorships and donation options to support their compassionate farming model. Their goat milk soap is handmade in small batches, using only the best ingredients like avocado, coconut, and olive oils, and shea butter. They never use dyes and pride themselves on the quality of their artisan products, even if it means longer shipping times. Jeff and Chad invite customers to follow their daily farm updates on Instagram and Facebook.
