Thompson Bees & Berries

Conveniently located less than 2 miles south of the Joplin Sam's Club off of old US 71 highway, this small family operation has established itself with 2200 blueberry plants, 3/4 of which are mature enough for production. The farm is marked by a purple mailbox and an old field stone dairy barn.

The farm employs U-pick and pre-picked fruit sales, encouraging visitors to call ahead to schedule their visits. They are experimenting with inter-cropping garlic, onions, and squash to diversify their produce offerings. The farm's location in a valley provides shade by 6:30 PM, creating an ideal environment for evening picking.

The farm's hours are mostly in the evenings and weekends, but availability varies. They are open to feedback on other produce that customers might be interested in.
