Located along the Snake River, the farm has cultivated a unique landscape of native prairie, oak savanna, wooded lowlands, wet meadows, and tamarack swamp. Known for direct-to-consumer sales, the farm offers bison, beef, hogs, and lambs by the quarter, half, or other fractional amounts. The farm's herds include around 50 bison and beef animals each, 100 hogs annually, and 15 lambs, with a commitment to humane and natural animal husbandry.

Practices

The farm employs seasonal rotational grazing, moving herds through open and wooded pastures to benefit both the animals and the land. Bison and beef are exclusively grass-fed, while hogs are raised on a mixed diet of locally sourced grains, tailored to their needs. No unnecessary medications, antibiotics, or artificial hormones are used. Animals are harvested humanely in their pastures to minimize stress, and processed at a state-inspected facility. The farm's philosophy emphasizes low-stress environments, natural growth rates, and maintaining the health of both animals and the ecosystem.

Meat is processed by Quality Meats in Foley, MN, a family-run butcher shop. Customers can place processing instructions online and pick up their meat directly or at designated metro drop-off locations. The farm offers Spring and Fall Customer Days for visits and keeps customers informed with bi-monthly email updates. Payment is made post-harvest, and there is flexibility for order changes or cancellations.
