About the Farm
Background
The Nolt Homestead began in 1996 after the tragic loss of their first child to a genetic disorder. Initially farming conventionally with chemicals and medications, they shifted to a more natural approach after learning about the importance of healthy soil and nutrient-dense foods. Over the past 15 years, they have focused on building healthy soil and eliminating chemicals, resulting in a healthier lifestyle for their family.
Practices
The farm employs an intensive grazing program to raise their animals, ensuring they have access to healthy plants. All products are hormone, antibiotic, and GMO-free. The grain used for hogs and chickens is non-GMO, and the farm has eliminated the use of chemicals, relying instead on the health of the soil to support their livestock.
The Rest
Customers can find their products at the Hopkinsville Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays from mid-April to late October. The farm also offers raw milk and raw butter for pets. Visitors are welcome to come see the farm or contact them for more information. The farm emphasizes the health benefits of real, whole food and shares monthly news and views on healthy foods through a newsletter.
