About the Farm
Background
Located on Puget Island, the ranch is a one-man and two-dog operation known for its all-natural, grass-fed lamb and beef. The ranch is accessible via ferry from Westport, OR, and is a scenic drive from both Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR.
Practices
All animals are bred, born, and raised on the ranch, with diets consisting of grass, hay, clean water, and mother’s milk. The livestock are raised in a stress-free and humane environment without the use of hormones, supplements, or antibiotics. The ranch focuses on providing high-quality meat from Katahdin hair heritage breed ewes and Irish Dexter cows, often crossed with Black Angus for optimal flavor and size.
The Rest
The ranch offers delivery to a local butcher and possibly to customers' locations. Visitors are encouraged to bring a kayak and enjoy the Columbia River. The ranch prides itself on the quality, taste, and safety of its products.
