Terra Firma Farm

Founded in 2004, Terra Firma Farm has grown into a well-regarded community farm in North Stonington, Connecticut. Known for producing high-quality milk, beef, pork, broiler chickens, layer chickens, specialty poultry, and rabbits, the farm sells directly to the public and to local restaurants and coops. Under the direction of Brianne Casadei, the farm has also become a hub for educational field trips, programs, and camps, reconnecting youth with agriculture.

Utilizing environmentally sustainable practices and alternative energy inputs, the farm emphasizes responsible farming and humane animal husbandry. The land and animals serve as teachers, fostering a deep connection between people, land, and meaningful labor. The farm's commitment to sustainable agricultural techniques ensures the preservation of local traditions and regional identity.

The farm operates as a nonprofit educational organization, providing hands-on, real-life educational experiences for people of all ages, particularly local public school students. The Terra Firma Farm Give Gallons campaign, launched in 2019, aims to address food insecurity by delivering 300 gallons of milk a week to local food banks. This initiative highlights the farm's dedication to community support and nutrition.
