About the Farm
Background
Ten Barn Farm occupies a ten-acre section of historic land formerly known as the Van Valkenburgh-Isbister Farm. After many years of rest, the farm began its revival in 2011 when the Harrington family moved from Princeton, New Jersey. The farm is currently in its first production season.
Practices
The farm focuses on organic farming methods, cultivating heirloom vegetable varieties on two acres. The land, having been relatively quiet for years, is now being rejuvenated with careful, sustainable practices. The Harrington family also raises eighteen chickens and two goats, contributing to a diverse farm ecosystem.
The Rest
The farm is in the process of renovating a goat barn to serve as housing and an event space for farm-to-table dinners. They are also planning to start a CSA to provide fresh produce to the local community.
