About the Farm

Background

For over twenty years, this small dairy farm has been providing raw milk on a bring-your-own-bottle basis. In 2006, it was awarded the New Hampshire Dairy of Distinction by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Practices

The cows graze on pasture for 5 to 6 months of the year and are fed the farm's own hay and a small amount of grain during the rest of the year. No synthetic substances are used on the land, and antibiotics are administered only when necessary to treat a sick cow. The farm's laying hens, meat chickens, and pigs are all raised on pasture and woodlands, never confined, and are fed an organically grown feed mix free from antibiotics and hormones. The farm raises Red Ranger chickens, known for their slower growth and better taste compared to conventional Cornish Cross chickens. All Tamworth cross pigs are born and bred on the farm.

The Rest

The on-farm store offers a variety of products including raw milk, yogurt, eggs, meat chickens, and pork. Feeder pigs are also available in the spring and fall for those interested in raising their own pigs.
