Talmadge Farms

Located in Hereford, Colorado, this family-owned farm transitioned to certified organic farming in 2002. In 2007, they expanded by purchasing a grain elevator and obtaining a warehouse license and organic handler certification, allowing them to store and handle organic grain for other farmers. Over the years, they have grown by adding more grain bins, services, and product lines.

The farm raises a crossbred herd of beef cattle, selling the calves at weaning. Their birds, including chickens, turkeys, and ducks, are fed Certified Organic feed and are cage-free. They also produce farm-fresh eggs. The farm emphasizes organic practices in all aspects of their operations, including custom grain storage and cleaning, and organic certification consulting.

The farm offers a variety of services and products for organic and natural crop and livestock production. They have a portable pellet mill for making custom feed and are open to inquiries about specific organic needs. Additionally, they provide organic consulting to help bring organic practices to the community.
