About the Farm
Background
The farm has been striving for several years to become 'year round growers.' In the winter of 2011, they constructed a high tunnel, which enabled them to extend their growing season and produce vegetables even during the cold winter months.
Practices
Utilizing high tunnel technology, the farm is able to cultivate leafy greens, carrots, and beets throughout the year. This method allows for the protection of crops from harsh weather conditions, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh produce.
The Rest
The farm participates in the Gettysburg Farmers' Market, starting at the end of April, offering home-grown vegetables to the local community.
