About the Farm
Background
Eight years ago, the farm began by selling a few extra vegetables at the local farmers market. Over time, the gardens expanded to offer more fresh produce, leading to the opening of a Farm Stand in the front yard. The farm has become known for its wide variety of vegetables, jams, pickles, and baked goods, available throughout the summer and fall.
Practices
The farm grows a diverse range of vegetables, including salad greens, radishes, cucumbers, snap peas, and specialty crops like sweet corn and pumpkins. All produce is grown in the farm's gardens and canned or baked in the home kitchen. The farm also features a strawberry patch and offers handmade items and fresh cut flowers.
The Rest
Customers can pre-order produce for pick up at the farm or at the Iron County Farmers Market in Hurley. Monthly free incentives are available for weekly purchases. The farm also sells handmade items such as crochet washcloths, cold-processed soaps, fleece blankets, and more. Additionally, child-size picnic tables made from cedar and white ash are available, along with local art by a friend named Kitty.
