About the Farm

Background

Since its inception in 2003, the Miller family has been at the forefront of the non-GMO movement within the farming community. They produce fresh non-GMO feed in their on-site mill, which is available for retail in their storefront, through dealers around Virginia, for regional feed delivery, and for shipping across the contiguous United States. The farm is known for its commitment to ethical farming practices and the production of all-natural meats, eggs, and honey.

Practices

The farm's animals are fed non-GMO feed that complements their natural eating habits. Hogs forage in the woods, turkeys and chickens forage in pesticide-free pastures, and cattle and goats graze in pesticide-free pastures. All animals have access to the outdoors for intensive grazing and exercise. Clean shelters and manageable flock and herd sizes support free-range farming with integrity. Two Great Pyrenees dogs provide natural protection for the layer hens from predators like foxes and coyotes. The farm collaborates with local suppliers who share their commitment to non-GMO grains and ethical farming practices, ensuring a balanced and healthy ecosystem.

The Rest

The farm contributes to the local economy through business partnerships that promote trust and sustainability. Their storefront not only sells their own products but also features items from local producers, such as all-natural lamb from Weaver Sheep Farm. They offer a variety of non-GMO and soy-free feeds, all-natural meats, free-range eggs, and raw honey. Additionally, they provide local and regional delivery services for their products and offer farm tours to educate the community about their practices.
