About the Farm

Background

Tucked in a little valley near downtown Mount Horeb, this flower farm has been growing beautiful cut flowers for over 40 years. Originally started by Hans' mother, the farm has been a staple at the Dane County Farmers Market since 1975. In 2012, Hans and his wife Lisa joined the business, bringing new energy and artistry to the farm's operations.

Practices

All farming is done using organic practices to properly care for the family land. The farm features three greenhouses that produce flowers taller, earlier, and more beautiful than those grown in the field. The team is constantly trialing new varieties and color palettes to offer the best blooms Wisconsin has to offer.

The Rest

Hans and Lisa run the flower farm and design studio, creating unique and artful floral designs. Lisa, with a background in fine arts, found her calling in floral design and now runs the design studio with a talented staff. The farm offers workshops and participates in the Dane County Farmers Market, selling fresh flowers every Saturday morning on the square.
