Sun Sprout Farm

Sun Sprout Farm is located on New York's famous Black Dirt in Chester, NY. The farm is co-owned by Simon Ziegler and Madeleine Banulski, who met in 2006 as volunteers at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills in Kimberton, PA. Simon worked on the biodynamic dairy farm, while Madeleine worked in the CSA garden, apple orchard, and village cafe. After their service, Simon returned to Germany to study Organic Agriculture Science, and Madeleine pursued nursing in Philadelphia. Simon moved permanently to the US in 2011 and worked as the field manager at Riverbank Farm in Roxbury, CT. The couple eventually found their destination in Chester, NY, where they started Sun Sprout Farm.

Sun Sprout Farm has always used exclusively organic growing practices and is currently in transition to be USDA certified organic. The farm is committed to growing the highest quality and healthiest produce for their customers, ensuring that all their produce is USDA Certified Organic.

Sun Sprout Farm's products are available at summer and winter farmer’s markets and wholesale through local stores and restaurants. Madeleine continues her nursing career while working part-time on the farm. The farm offers updates through their mailing list and social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
