Sun Prairie Natural Beef

Tom and Keith Parks, a father-son duo, have been raising cattle for over 40 years. They started Sun Prairie in 2005, initially selling grass-fed beef to friends and family. The operation expanded to include a humanely-raised, heritage pork operation in 2018. Sun Prairie began at Denver farmers markets and evolved into an online store, distributing beef across Colorado and surrounding states.

Sun Prairie practices rotational grazing on 1500 acres of native Sandhills prairie in northeast Colorado. They raise 100% grass-fed, purebred black Angus cattle, ensuring no containment/feedlots, antibiotics, or growth hormones. The beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 14 days and processed in a small, USDA-inspected locker. Their commitment extends beyond cattle to the stewardship of soil, water, and people.

Sun Prairie offers five assorted beef boxes, including the Steak Lovers Box, Grill Box, All Rounder Box, Economy Box, and Burger Box. They provide free UPS shipping and local pick-up discounts. The farm also emphasizes community building, inviting customers to become part of their mission for positive change in health, environment, and animal welfare.
