About the Farm
Background
Founded by Richard Tinlin in 1977, the farm began with the planting of 1400 trees along the Verde River. Over the years, these trees have matured to produce delicious golden pecans, earning numerous blue ribbons at annual judgings.
Practices
The farm does not have pastured animals in its groves, focusing solely on the cultivation of pecan trees. The pecans are harvested and processed on-site, with visitors able to observe the equipment during tours in December and January.
The Rest
Visitors can purchase nuts in the shell or shelled, as well as cinnamon and Cajun flavored pecans. The farm also sells pecan wood, known for its mild hickory aroma. Impromptu tours and scheduled group visits are available, and the farm's nuts are featured at the Pecans, Wine and Antique Festival each February in Camp Verde, AZ.
