Stone & Thistle Farm's

Located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains in central New York state, this family farm has become known for its dedication to raising naturally healthy, farm-fresh meat and eggs. The farm's journey began with a commitment to sustainable agriculture and has grown to include a variety of offerings such as grass-fed meats, goat milk products, and a farm store that operates year-round. The farm also features a bed and breakfast, providing guests with a unique farm stay experience.

The farm's livestock and poultry are raised on pastures for most of the year, relying solely on grass and sunshine to produce naturally healthy animals. The goats, pigs, and poultry receive minimal amounts of local grains, while the beef cows, lambs, and meat goats are fed only grass or hay. No additives, hormones, antibiotics, or drugs are used in raising the animals. This approach not only ensures the health of the animals but also results in meat that is lower in total fat and calories, yet richer in beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and cancer-fighting fats.

The farm offers a variety of products through its farm store and at area farmers markets, including chutneys, sauces, meat pies, pates, and rendered leaf lard. Kortright Creek Creamery, located on the farm, specializes in goat milk products from a herd of 99% grass-fed Saanen dairy goats. The farm also hosts Fable=farm+table, a dining experience open for dinner on Saturdays and brunch on Sundays, featuring the farm's organic and grass-fed meats, dairy, and produce. Additionally, the farm provides culinary vacations, private workshops, and is available for farm weddings and private parties.
