About the Farm
Background
In 2006, a group of visionaries gathered to watch 'The True Cost of Food' and identified the need for a robust local food system in the Columbia River Gorge. They envisioned better access to locally grown produce, bigger farmers markets, ethically processed meat, and school garden-based education. Many of these leaders remain at the forefront of the local food movement, creating a network led by dozens of individuals and organizations across all sectors.
Practices
All products are grown using organic methods, ensuring that the vegetables and fruits are cultivated without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The farm's commitment to organic practices reflects a dedication to both the health of the land and the well-being of the community.
The Rest
The farm offers canning and catering quantities of their produce, making it a valuable resource for both individual consumers and local businesses. They are part of the Gorge Grown Food Network, which serves five counties in the Columbia River Gorge, aiming to ensure that everyone has access to fresh, healthy, local food while supporting farmers with the skills, support, and infrastructure they need to succeed.
