About the Farm
Background
Under the same family ownership since 1882, the farm was established by William Warwood, who was the first to bring Alfalfa seed into the Gallatin Valley. The farm has been passed down through generations, with the current owners continuing the legacy of sustainable farming practices.
Practices
The farm employs organic farming methods and permaculture principles on its 70 acres. Utilizing a high tunnel greenhouse and low tunnels in the field, they extend their growing season from early Spring to late Fall. The 6% south-facing slope and natural water sources provide optimal growing conditions, ensuring an early start in Spring and consistent temperatures.
The Rest
The farm offers a CSA program with a variety of vegetables, fruits, and farm products. They are committed to making fresh, healthy produce accessible and offer flexible payment plans for their CSA members. Future plans include expanding their product offerings to include honey, eggs, fruit, dairy, flowers, chicken, and beef.
