About the Farm
Background
Spring of Hope Farm is the culmination of two lifelong dreams, situated on a 22-acre hobby farm in Bruner, MO. The farm is a product of the 1970s ethos of 'Think globally, Act locally,' a philosophy embraced by the owners and taught to their children.
Practices
The farm raises small herds of Mulefoot hogs on pasture, focusing on increasing immune systems and producing healthier meat. The Mulefoot is a slow-growing hog that averages 4-7 offspring per breeding cycle, thriving in both hot and cold climates. The only additive used in their farming practice is love.
The Rest
The Mulefoot hog is a Heritage Breed known for its marbled and tasty meat, which has won many awards in blind taste tests around the country. Spring of Hope Farm offers these rare hogs for both meat and breeding stock, aiming to be a supplier for home-grown, pastured Mulefoot hogs.
