Spade and Plow

Spade & Plow Organics began in 2015 when the Thorp family leased 10 acres in San Martin, CA. They started with a focus on sustainability and aimed to make organic produce accessible and affordable to Santa Clara County residents. Over time, they expanded by acquiring an additional 27-acre property in San Martin, which increased their production capacity and helped preserve more agricultural land in the county.

The farm is certified organic, emphasizing sustainable farming practices. They focus on working the land diligently, including watering, weeding, and planting, to ensure the production of clean and fresh produce.

The farm grows a variety of produce including green beans, garlic, red onions, yellow carrots, zucchini, leeks, stone fruit, bell peppers, strawberries, romaine, Anaheim peppers, and beefsteak tomatoes.
