Slow Food USA has a mission to create lasting change in the food system by fostering connections between people and the sources of their food, including traditions, plants, animals, and fertile soils and waters.

The organization promotes changes in food policy, production practices, and market forces to ensure equity, sustainability, and enjoyment in the food consumed.

Slow Food USA encourages local involvement through programs that chapters can apply at the local level, inviting community members to participate actively.
