About the Farm
Background
In 1986, the family purchased part of the oldest blueberry farm in California, Green Valley, which had planted the first blueberries in the state in 1940. Initially focused on blueberries, the farm expanded over the years to include a diverse range of berries. Sabina and Tarcicio Vigil, the founders, dedicated themselves to making the farm a renowned berry producer in the North Bay.
Practices
For over 30 years, the farm has adhered to clean agricultural practices, becoming a California Certified Organic Farmer early on. Despite their commitment to organic farming, they also offer conventionally grown berries. Each family member plays an active role, from selecting berry varieties to selling directly to customers at local farmers markets.
The Rest
The farm offers a wide array of berries, including blueberries, blackberries, boysenberries, loganberries, raspberries, strawberries, ollalie blackberries, marion blackberries, orange raspberries, golden raspberries, black raspberries, and purple raspberries. It's a true family-run operation, with each member contributing to its success.
