Scintilla Farms

Located in San Diego, Scintilla Farms was created by two friends, Blake Cowling and Austin Collins, who identified a significant issue with the conventional food supply chain. They observed that most urban food is sourced from distant locations, often from foreign countries, resulting in a loss of flavor and nutrient value due to extensive handling and transportation.

Scintilla Farms focuses on urban farming, aiming to provide the freshest possible produce to local restaurants and households. The farm ensures that their produce, including fennel, dill, leek, and chard, is delivered on the same day it is harvested, minimizing nutrient loss and maximizing flavor.

Urban farming is a movement dedicated to offering locally grown produce to urban areas that typically lack access to fresh, local food. Scintilla Farms embodies this movement by delivering their harvest directly to consumers, ensuring a direct and fresh food supply.
