About the Farm
Background
For 30 years, this farm has been dedicated to raising cattle without the use of antibiotics, steroids, or hormones. The farm was certified organic in 2003, although the state of Missouri discontinued the certification program afterward. Despite this, the farm has maintained its organic practices throughout its history.
Practices
The farm adheres to strict organic practices, avoiding pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs. The cattle are grass-fed and finished, consuming a variety of Missouri forages such as fescue, lespedezas, vetches, clovers, and cheat grass. During winter, the cattle are fed hay made from these same forages. The farm ensures that no animal byproducts are included in the cattle's diet, emphasizing the natural ruminant diet that cattle evolved to consume.
The Rest
The farm serves the Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas 'Four State Area' and offers both wholesale and retail options. Customers can find the farm's products at the Eureka Spring Farmers Market on Thursday mornings and the Bentonville Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. The farm promotes the health benefits of grass-fed beef and aims to provide healthy, delicious meat to its customers.
