About the Farm
Background
Since 1995, this farm has been dedicated to growing Certified Red Angus beef organically. Known for its commitment to natural farming practices, the farm offers customers the opportunity to choose their own calf from the herd each August for processing in October and November. The farm raises only ten calves each year, ensuring a limited but high-quality supply of beef.
Practices
The farm adheres to strict organic standards, never using growth hormones, implants, chemicals, or antibiotics on the calves or cows. The pastures are free from chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. The calves are grassfed and never given grain, ensuring they are tender, fat, and healthy. Only one-year-old calves are sold, promoting the health of the consumers. The entire ranch, including beef, chickens, fruits, and vegetables, is managed under organic principles.
The Rest
Customers can visit the ranch to pick their own calf and are encouraged to reserve early due to the limited number of calves available. Beef customers also have the first option to receive free organically grown fruits and surplus vegetables. Tours are welcome, and the farm emphasizes the importance of knowing where your beef comes from and what it eats. The price includes delivery to the processor, but customers must pay for custom cut and wrap orders separately.
