Rock-N-Wool Ranch

Located in Oregon's Willamette Valley on the ancestral lands of the Kalapuya, this small family-run business produces food for the local community. Known for raising grass-fed cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry, they also offer wool and breeding stock. The ranch is dedicated to restoring native plants and foodways.

The ranch employs rotational grazing and permaculture to heal soils and pastures. They avoid imported fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, and strive to raise all their animal feed. Supplemental poultry feed is non-GMO, non-Corn, and non-Soy. Animals are kept healthy on pasture, eliminating the need for antibiotics. Customers are encouraged to verify practices and products as the ranch does not hold certifications.

Navajo-Churro sheep, known for their rich yet lean meat, are listed in the Slow Food Ark of Taste. The ranch provides fresh pasture, water, and free choice minerals, with supplemental hay harvested from their fields in winter. Animals have access to barns and cover year-round.
