About the Farm

Background

Starting as a literal fruit stand on the side of the road, Robert Is Here has grown into a full-fledged tourist destination in Homestead, Florida. Known for its wide variety of rare and exotic fruits, the stand has expanded to include an animal farm, play area, picnic tables, and live music on weekends and holidays. The story of its growth and challenges is detailed in a book co-authored by Robert and Cesar Becerra. The business is a proud member of the historic Redland Tropical Trail and the Tropical Everglades Visitor Association, and it holds the distinction of being the first Florida-based entry into the National Culinary Heritage Register.

Practices

The farm specializes in cultivating rare and exotic tropical fruits and producing fresh tropical fruit milkshakes. This focus not only highlights the unique agricultural products but also underscores the importance of farms and agricultural areas to tourism and the local economy. The farm is a founding member of the Florida Agritourism Association, promoting the value of agritourism.

The Rest

Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including an animal farm, play area, and live music on weekends and holidays. The farm offers a range of products such as Asian guavas, avocados, coconuts, dragon fruit, key lime, passion fruit, sugar cane, guanabana, and tamarind. The farm operates daily from 9 AM to 6 PM, except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Robert Is Here also offers a selection of mango varieties and other tropical fruits for purchase online.
