Rising Harvest Farms

Rising Harvest Farms began farming in 2010 and was officially established in 2012 to create a sustainable urban farming system that serves the local community by creating new employment and educational opportunities, improving the local availability of healthy food, and supporting green efforts in the city.

100% of the produce is grown without synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides. The farm avoids synthetic fertilizers, opting instead for composts and other organic materials. Resources such as plant matter and captured water are recycled and reused to aid in crop growth. Local sources of materials and products are used whenever available.

The farm offers Summer/Winter Farm Shares (CSA), Farm Stand Sales, Wholesale sales to restaurants and grocery stores, Volunteer opportunities, an Internship program, and a Community Garden.
