About the Farm
Background
Ridgedale Orchard and Vineyard began its journey in February 2012 with the planting of its first fruit trees. By March 2013, the vineyard was established with Syrah wine grapes, thriving in the Mediterranean climate. The berry patch was introduced in March 2016, starting with Boysenberries and Olallieberries, followed by Heritage Raspberries and Chester Blackberries. The creation of their first artisan jam in May 2017 marked a significant milestone. In April 2019, the farm expanded with a plant nursery, and by May 2019, herb gardens were planted, leading to the start of their tea business.
Practices
The farm prides itself on growing all the fruits, berries, grapes, vegetables, and herbs used in their products. Each fruit is harvested and handcrafted into jams, jellies, and syrups in small batches, using less sugar than traditional recipes. The emphasis is on quality, beginning in the orchard and gardens and extending to the final product.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of products including jams, fruit syrups, herbal teas, and gift boxes. Their gift boxes are customizable and environmentally friendly, available in several sizes and configurations. They also provide flat rate shipping across the US. Additionally, the farm propagates many of the plants they grow, offering them for sale in their nursery.
