About the Farm
Background
For thirty-seven years, Revival Gardens has cultivated twelve acres along the Etowah River, seven miles west of Dahlonega, GA. Known for their garden dinners, they have hosted these events for the last twelve years, although they scaled back recently due to part-time teaching commitments. The farm is also associated with the International Appalachian Academy.
Practices
Revival Gardens emphasizes transparency in farming inputs and outputs, fostering a connection between the food on the table and the living soil, watersheds, and wildlife. They engage in organic farming practices, ensuring that their produce is grown without synthetic chemicals.
The Rest
Revival Gardens hosts various events, including the Garden Bugs and River Critters Club, where participants explore garden and river life. They are currently building a new facility to host their popular garden dinners, which will accommodate over forty visitors. The farm also encourages visitors to join their mailing list for updates on dinner menus and produce availability.
