About the Farm
Background
Located in south Troup County, GA, the farm has dedicated itself to humane animal treatment and sustainable agriculture. Drawing inspiration from Joel Salatin and other regenerative agriculture practitioners, the farm has become known for its commitment to local food systems and healthier food choices for the community.
Practices
The farm abstains from using herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers on its pastures. Poultry are moved daily to fresh grass after leaving the brooder, ensuring a natural and healthy environment. The farm's products include Bourbon Red heritage turkeys fed with non-GMO Project Verified feed, chickens fed with Certified Organic feed, and eggs from hens fed with GMO-free, soy-free feed. All poultry is processed in a USDA facility for small farmers and frozen for preservation.
The Rest
As a Georgia Grown company, the farm supports local businesses and farmers by sourcing broiler chicks from a Georgia hatchery, using Georgia-sourced turkey feed, and employing a processor in metro Atlanta. The farm is continuously developing its product offerings and welcomes feedback from the community.
