About the Farm
Background
Owned by the Teague family for five generations, the farm began its journey in 1950 when Franklin Teague started the dairy. Since 2007, it has been certified organic, and it is known for its organic milk sold under the Organic Valley label, as well as its quality organic feed and beef.
Practices
The farm adheres to organic farming principles, avoiding synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Cows are intensively grazed on pastures and fed grass, hay, and a small amount of organic grains, free from antibiotics, added hormones, and GMOs. The farm's grain mill produces custom rations using high-quality organic grains, vitamins, and minerals. Hens are pasture-raised and fed certified organic soy-free layer feed. The farm also grows, presses, and bottles certified organic sunflower oil.
The Rest
The farm processes its cows at a certified organic facility and is certified by Oregon Tilth. It offers a variety of organic feeds and grains in different quantities. Additionally, the farm operates an AirBnB called 'The Honey Loaf' for guests to stay and enjoy the scenic views.
