About the Farm
Background
The farm has become a staple in the community, known for its diverse range of organic produce, freshly milled grains, and high-quality fiber products. Each year, the farm hosts a Shearing Day event that draws over 50 attendees, showcasing their commitment to community engagement.
Practices
All produce is grown without GMO seeds and is certified organic. Crop rotation includes strawberries, arugula, mixed salad greens, kale, lettuce, broccoli, swiss chard, potatoes, green beans, and various micro-greens. The farm uses a Tyrollean stone mill to grind grains on demand, ensuring the freshest flour possible. The fiber farm features alpacas, llamas, Jacob sheep, and Angora goats, with raw fiber, roving, and yarn available for sale. Heritage breed chickens are raised cage-free and free-roaming, providing farm fresh eggs to a growing clientele.
The Rest
The farm participates in several local farmers markets and accepts pre-orders. They offer a wide range of milled grain products, including soft red wheat flour, corn meal, corn grits, rye flour, pumpernickel flour, oat flour, oat porridge, wheat bran, oat bran, and cream of wheat.
