About the Farm
Background
Founded by Scott Foster in 2011, inspired by his children's interests in cattle and organic foods, the farm has grown into a multi-generational family affair. The family also runs a nonprofit, Providence Pastures Co., to promote religious and educational objectives, and St. Jerome School & Library for traditional Catholic homeschooling.
Practices
The farm never uses GMOs, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, vaccines, antibiotics, or hormones. Grass-fed and finished cattle graze on lush pastures filled with clover and various grasses. Pastured laying hens and meat chickens are fed with homegrown, non-GMO grains, and moved through pastures daily. Produce is grown without any treatments, ensuring natural and pure food. Maple syrup is produced from farm-harvested Sugar Maple tree sap.
The Rest
The farm encourages visitors to tour and see where their food comes from. They offer a variety of products including beef, poultry, eggs, maple syrup, and seasonal produce, available for purchase online with delivery or pick-up options. The farm also features an orchard and has expanded to include pork and black-bellied sheep for future lamb offerings.
