Established in 2004, Por-Bar Farms has built a reputation for providing fresh local produce and food that nourishes families. The farm is known for its heirloom fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, featuring varieties cherished for their history, nutritional density, flavors, colors, and textures.

Por-Bar Farms follows strict organic and eco-friendly growing practices. Soil block seedling and plant starting in the greenhouse eliminate the use of plastic tray inserts. Hand-mixed soils incorporate farm vegetation compost and coco coir fiber, replacing non-sustainable peat moss. Intensive crop rotation, Integrated Pest Management techniques, and green manure cover crops naturally nourish and replenish organic matter in the soil. Portions of the farm are dedicated to maintaining native species habitats.

The farm operates year-round, growing heirloom varieties in raised beds within high tunnels.
