Pollinate Farm

Pollinate Farm is a Black Woman-owned farm in Oakland, CA, known for its tapestry of urban growing sites spread across several locations. Through the generosity of neighbors, they grow fresh, healthy, local food for communities throughout San Francisco and the East Bay. The farm is powered by a diverse team of volunteers from many professions.

Rooted in urban farming, Pollinate Farm utilizes residential spaces to cultivate a variety of crops, including collards, kale, mustard, broccoli, okra, garlic, carrots, turnips, radishes, cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, herbs, and flowers. The farm also engages in beekeeping, backyard chicken keeping, and food preserving, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and education in sustainable food practices.

Pollinate Farm offers consulting, mentoring, and garden installation services to help individuals grow, raise, and preserve their harvest. They also provide supplies for backyard farms or kitchen gardens and host private events. Donations are accepted to support the acquisition of essential equipment like a refrigerated delivery van and specialty production tools.
