About the Farm

Background

Owned by Karen and Bob Yasui, the farm has been in the family for over 150 years and is designated as a century farm. Actively planting for over 30 years, they have established a variety of perennials and shrubs alongside annual gardens. Located in the Raus community of Bedford County, Tennessee, the farm is known for its commitment to organic practices and its role as a sanctuary for pollinators, wildlife, and threatened medicinal herbs.

Practices

The farm employs beyond organic and regenerative methods, avoiding the use of pesticides entirely. The soil has been tested to ensure it is free from pesticides that might have been used over 40 years ago. The farm's practices focus on maintaining a clean and healthy environment, supporting biodiversity, and preserving the integrity of the land.

The Rest

The farm offers a variety of services including retail and wholesale sales of fresh and dried flowers, bouquet services for restaurants and individuals, and assistance with wedding or party decorations. Regional delivery is available for fresh flowers, and mail order is possible for dried flowers. Fresh, fragrant Christmas wreaths are available for local customers. The farm also sells medicinal herbs, both retail and wholesale, but does not provide advice on their use. Discounts are available for regular orders from florists and designers. Visits are by appointment only.
